Cammach Group boosts it's turnover by 55%

Cammach Group, the Aberdeen-based oil and gas engineering services company, has boosted turnover in the past 12 months by 55% to a record £4.8million.
In the year to end-July, 2009, annual results, the multi-disciplinary engineering group, launched just 12 years ago in a former schoolhouse, reveals that turnover has soared from £3.1million to £4.8million.
Defying current worldwide recessionary trends, the rapidly-expanding group, which is headquartered at Greenbank Business Centre, East Tullos, Aberdeen, is now embarking on an ambitious development strategy, with assistance from Scottish Enterprise, aimed at increasing turnover to £20million by 2014.
Managing director Bill Barclay said: “The majority of our business has been built upon repeat business from satisfied clients.
“We continue to see the UK North Sea as a good business opportunity and believe the North Sea mature assets will continue to be a good commercial proposition for many years to come. However, the shape of the business will change, and any companies operating in this environment will have to be very competitive.
“Foreign markets are appealing, but global instability makes long-term planning in any overseas market very difficult. We previously had good business in the Caspian and Mediterranean, but recent economic downturns have made these markets severely deflated.
“The global recession will continue to make for difficult trading conditions, with the continual drive to reduce costs. However, this gives new opportunities to efficiently run companies to become more competitive and gain a share in markets previously not attainable.
“Our goal is to develop the Cammach Group into a truly multi-discipline services company offering our clients a cost-effective, comprehensive range of services to meet all their needs. We intend to continue to develop the company by organic growth, and will consider favourable acquisitions - dependent upon viability.”
